"The First Year" is where I show what I have done in school during (you guessed it) the first year.
For our second Unity project, they told us to make a space shooter. My idea for a twist was a feature where your spaceship can change between 3 colors and you have to match the color of the deadly laser.
You make points by killing enemys and if you survive long enough, you get to battle a boss that awards you with a lot of points!!
This was my first time working with Highscores.
Once again, this game has power-ups:
- Triple Shot, great for making points;
- Barrier, that makes you invincible, even against those lasers!!
Enemys:
- Asteroid that splits into two when destroyed;
- Spaceship that fires a straight shot;
- Spaceship that travels doing zig-zags, making it hard to hit;
- Spaceship with electric fields on both sides. Only takes damage in the center.
- Boss Spaceship that follows the players movement and shoots very often;
