PURIFY - ERASMUS+ Creative Challenge

PURIFY was the project I made for the 2021 ERASMUS+ creative challenge from my school, ETIC_Algarve, in Portugal.
This year theme for the challenge was "What brand do you want to leave in a greener and digital Europe?".

The story behind this game is that you play as this creature from space that has the power to make changes, in this case, environment changes. When you jump into the world, you get a objective saying "Find the problems". You have to explore and figure out what problems is the game talking about. For example, one of the problems, is a car polluting and you can turn that car into a bycicle. It's like the game is telling you "you should use your bycicle more often".

The game has some extra features that help the player and provide some information:
- When you look at a problem, your crosshair will change color and also shake, letting the player know that he found a problem;
- In the top-left corner of the screen you have a planet Earth. Everytime you find a problem, some trees and mountains will grow around that planet, showing the progress of the player. The level ends when the planet is surrounded by trees and mountains;
- When you find a problem, the game tells you the name of that problem and also provides a random fact about that problem.

I do not own all of the assets seen in this game!! This was a school project and since we had 3 weeks to make this, some assets were taken from the Unity Asset Store.

One of the problems, ocean pollution. In this problem, you help a turtle that has a plastic bag covering his head.

One of the problems, fossil fuels. In this problem, you replace the factory for some wind turbines.

One of the problems, air pollution. In this problem, you replace the car with a bycicle.

One of the problems, nuclear waste. In this problem, you stop the pipe from spilling nuclear waste into the lake.

One of the problems, destruction of habitats. In this problem, you help the kangaroo that has a bag on his head.

One of the problems, drought. In this problem, you create some rain to help the garden getting some life.

One of the problems, deforestation. In this problem, you see some trees that have been cut and you help bringing them back to life.

One of the problems, littering. In this problem, you see some garbage left from humans and you put the garbage in the right place, the bin.
